Aftermarket PARTS Product Support Analyst
Position Objective/Summary:
The Product Support Analyst has overall responsibility to support the aftermarket parts business for new product support, engineering changes, customer service, and product research affecting the aftermarket parts business.
Essential Functions:
The specific functions and responsibilities are as follows:
- Responsible for all new parts setup.
- Work with purchasing to ensure proper sourcing of items
- Recommend stocking levels at the parts warehouse and track availability.
- Develop and issue recommended stocking lists to dealers for CLARK dealers for new product launches.
- Quality and Reliability: Works with Purchasing and Technical Support to establish quality and reliability criteria and to be sure they are being met.
- Approve and process Engineering changes, including supercedures, in a timely fashion.
- Attend all product review meetings with truck engineering.
- Assist and support the Parts technical support personnel.
- Will conduct competitive parts analysis: When required will research and recommend alternatives for competitive parts.
- Totalift : Research and recommend competitive items to be added to the CLARK Totalift program. Incumbent will be a primary source for competitive product analysis.
- Work with the parts pricing team to ensure CLARK continues to increase its competitive position.
- Provide dealer support for technical and general parts issues.
- Support the distribution center on technical issues and inquiries.
Performance Measurements:
- Completion of planned objectives on schedule.
- Parts Availability on Key Truck Models
- Totalift success in terms of product offering.
- Successful and well coordinated product launches.
Basic Qualifications:
- Four year college degree in Business/Engineering or related field plus three years experience. Equivalent experience in the industry may be substituted for education.
- Must have a technical aptitude but still be business oriented. Must be an excellent communicator, both orally and in the written form, with computer proficiency in PC based and Mainframe applications.
- Strong analytical skills
- Extensive experience with managing, maintaining and analyzing large amounts of data
- Self-motivated, assertive and proactive attitude
- Detail oriented with 3-4 years database management experience preferably in the automotive or industrial equipment industry
