CLARK CONTINUES TREND: ACHIEVES NET INCOME AND BOOSTS SALES


LEXINGTON, KY – April 15, 2004 – CLARK Material Handling Company announced today that the Company achieved net income for the first quarter of 2004, the third consecutive quarter that it has reported net income.

Brian Butler, CLARK’s President and CEO, commenting on the results of the first quarter of 2004 stated that “not only did CLARK achieve net income for the third consecutive quarter, but significantly, first quarter orders for new CLARK trucks were the strongest of the past four quarters.”

Butler went on to state that he expects this positive financial and sales trend to continue in the second quarter. “The company is well positioned to take advantage of an increase in business, if the economy continues to improve.”
